Other Projects under consideration:

English Language Testing (ELT):

TIETAC can develop and offer English Language Skills Enhancement (ELSE) Programmes for large groups of students at Private institutions. These programmes include Communication and Presentation skills and are aimed at preparing the students for their Placement interviews.

The ELSE project is developed in collaboration with International House London.

British Education News (BEN):

TIETAC is seeking partnerships with Local or overseas Institutions to publish a bi-monthly magazine entitled British Education News expected to be published in 2007.

The magazine will provide information on all aspects of UK education from schooling to Research including Vocational and Training opportunities in the UK. Besides disseminating information on the latest trends in Higher Education, the magazine will provide information on the various Associations, Councils and Accreditation Bodies that provide the Standards for sustaining and improving Quality of UK Education. 

The magazine is aimed at a large student and academic audience in India and will be distributed widely not only in the Metros but also the other big cities, State capitals and all inner cities in India. 

The aim is to have the magazine reach out to all schools, colleges, training institutions, vocational centres and Universities in India.

Printing Of Prospectuses For UK Institutions:

TIETAC could offer a cost-effective service to Overseas Colleges and Universities for Printing and Distributing of Prospectuses, brochures, pamphlets and leaflets. 

The Printing Service is guaranteed to save the Overseas Institutions from 30 to 50% of their current costs. 

Our Printing Facilities, based in South India has an excellent track record in undertaking quality print assignments for Businesses and Academic institutions.

We co-ordinates the entire process from negotiations, camera-ready artwork/design, to printing, packing and distribution of the printed prospectuses etc. to overseas destinations.

Our Press has the following machines for executing the printing assignments:

Leather Technology: 

TIETAC, on behalf of the British School of Leather Technology, University of Northampton, UK has organised and successfully managed two educational seminars entitled:

  • Innovations in Leather Education in Chennai (Feb 2005)
  • How Leather Education can add Value to your Business in Chennai (April 2006) 

These seminars showcased the expertise available at the British School of Leather Technology (BSLT) to an invited audience including professionals and practitioners from the Leather Trade and Industry, Academics, Researchers and Students in and around Chennai. The seminars discussed the potential of the worldwide career opportunities in Leather Industry covering Footwear, Clothing, Upholstery and Automotives. 

Prof Tony Covington, Head, British School of Leather Technology led the seminar in Feb 2005. Dr T Ramasami, then Director, Central Leather Research Institute, Chennai inaugurated the Seminar in Feb 2005. 

The seminar in April 2006 was conducted by Dr Nick Boutle, Dean, and Dr Mark Wilkinson, Associate Dean, School of Applied Sciences.

Through these seminars BSLT was able to disseminate information on their Postgraduate Course in Leather Technology. As a result, students from Chennai have opted to pursue their MSc in Leather Technology at BSLT.

Schools Projects:

Collaboration between International Schools in India and Overseas Schools appropriate for Study Abroad programmes or articulation onto the A Level from GCSE.

Monarch Cambridge International School, Coimbatore has appointed TIETAC to identify appropriate partners in UK, USA and Singapore.

HOTCOURSES: 

A consultancy assignment to advise Hotcourses, UK on the feasibility of establishing an Office in India for Education Placement Services aimed at recruiting students to UK universities.

International Enterprise (IE) Singapore: 15 December 2006 New Delhi

TIETAC was identified as a Key Consultancy to interact with the Delegation from IE who were on an Education Mission to India supported by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), New Delhi.

The Delegation discussed possible areas of academic collaboration from School to Higher Education Sectors and also Corporate Training provision in India.
